The South African Coatings conference has been an important biennial date for the coatings industry in that it has for decades kept the local industry abreast of world technology as well as the quality of the product in the local market. Our relationship with OCCA, our co-sponsors, is important in that it combines the technical aspects of the industry with the practical use of the technology with the manufacturing and supply arms of the industry.
Two years ago saw the dramatic expansion of the Coatings Conference both in size and strategy in that the philosophy and target market shifted dramatically in order to develop our industry into Sub-Saharan Africa, taking advantage of the growth opportunities offered in this region.
Coatings for Africa Conference offers all of our members, whether they be manufacturers, suppliers of raw materials or equipment or retailers, the opportunity of showcasing their products and services to Africa. To develop supply chains of South African raw materials or to develop agencies or franchises to expand the marketing of South African manufactured product into Africa.
I sincerely look forward to welcoming you all to the Conference, which I can honestly describe as one that you cannot afford to miss if you wish to remain competitive in the expanding Global and local marketplace.
